Yuelai Ancient Town Introduction

Yuelai Ancient Town is only 8 kilometers away from the county seat. It has a long history and is also a vital passage from Dayi County to Xiling Snow Mountain, Alpine Ski Resort, Huashuiwan Hot Spring Resort, Heming Mountain – the birthplace of Taoism, and Wuzhong Mountain – an early spreading place of Taoism.
Yuelai Ancient Town is not large, with only four streets. The main ancient buildings are mainly concentrated on Yuelai Zheng Street and Heba Street, mostly in the architectural style of western Sichuan small towns. There is also a very small temple on Heba Street, which the locals call “Zhang Dafuzi Temple”. It is said to commemorate the local kind-hearted person who rebuilt this street and houses.

At the end of Heba Street is the Helin Bridge, an iron chain bridge built in 1920. Walking on it still gives a wobbly feeling. You can drink a bowl of scented tea in a small tea shop at the bridgehead, watch the locals playing the long Sichuan cards leisurely, and feel the comfort of the ancient town.

The specific business hours are subject to the opening conditions on the day.
