Zhonggulou is located at the very heart of Xingcheng Ancient City, originally constructed in the fifth year of the Jingtai era of the Ming Dynasty (1454) and renovated in the 42nd year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1777).
The base of Zhonggulou is square-shaped, with each side measuring 20 meters and the building reaching a height of 17.6 meters. It consists of three levels and corresponds with the arrow towers of the four city gates, presenting an imposing and majestic appearance with an air of authority.
The opening hours are from 08:00 to 16:30 all year round, with last admission at 16:00.
