Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area is divided into two scenic areas: Dafeishui Scenic Area (i.e., the front mountain) and Ski Resort Scenic Area (i.e., the back mountain).
The Dafeishui Scenic Area focuses on forest hiking, waterfall viewing, canyon sightseeing, pure oxygen lung cleansing, forest health care, and plant and animal research tourism. It can be visited throughout the year with the scenery of “appreciating flowers in spring, avoiding summer heat, observing colorful forests in autumn, and stepping on snow in winter”.
The Ski Resort Scenic Area mainly features winter skiing, various snow sports, four-season mountain leisure sports, and the viewing of alpine celestial and meteorological landscapes (such as sea of clouds, sunrise, forest Buddha light, yin-yang boundary, etc.).
The Dafeishui Scenic Area of Xiling Snow Mountain has well-preserved the original appearance of the landscape. It has diverse natural landscapes such as canyon scenery, mountain scenery, forest scenery, and waterfall groups. The negative oxygen ion content is very high. At the same time, it is the origin of the Chu River, one of the mother rivers of Dayi County, with a mysterious ancient Chu water source cultural background.
The entire scenic area gradually rises from Chadi Ping at an altitude of 1,260 meters to Wucai Waterfall at an altitude of 1,720 meters. The whole journey is for hiking tourism.
