Wenjiang Park is located along the Jiang’an River in Wenjiang. With a total area of 280 mu, land and water each account for half. The facilities in the park are elegant. The blue waves are rippling, the flowers are in full bloom, the trees are towering, and the pavilions, terraces and towers are of novel layout. The Guangqi Music Square is filled with the melodious sounds of traditional Chinese music and is resplendent with colors. The ancient Yufu culture is integrated with modern gardens, jointly forming a distinctive tourist landscape on the Western Sichuan Plain with many scenic spots in the surrounding areas of Wenjiang.
The park is divided into dynamic and static areas by the Jiang’an River and is connected by Baiguan Bridge, Qiqu Bridge, Yinghui Bridge, Xianjiang Bridge and Liubin Bridge. The dynamic area is mainly composed of the Welcome Square, Guangqi Music Square, catering and entertainment area and children’s paradise. In the middle of the dynamic area is the Guangqi Music Square covering an area of more than 8,000 square meters.
In the middle of the square is a music fountain stage, which expands southward in a fan-shaped layout. Fourteen bronze seven-tone columns on the stage echo the five-tone columns of ancient Chinese music on the waterside platform in the south of the square. They are connected together through three circles of different sizes with their centers on the same straight line and a winding stream.
The static area on the south bank features a secluded and elegant style. The vegetation in the scenic area mainly includes ginkgo biloba, camphor trees, willows, nanmu, flowers, lawns, etc. The Nanxi River runs through it. Baiguan Mountain in the east of the scenic area is the highest point of the park. The Lansheng Pavilion on the top of the mountain offers a broad view, allowing visitors to overlook the entire park.
Especially at night, Wenjiang Park is ablaze with lights, just like stars twinkling. The Baiguan Pavilion at the foot of the mountain is built by the river, and along the river embankment, the mountains look greener and the waters bluer. The sports lawn in the scenic area is covered with green grass, and there are also Yiran Pavilion and Ningxiang Pavilion dotted among them. Visitors can stroll around and enjoy themselves to their heart’s content.
The Huifangyuan beside the lawn is filled with blooming flowers and fragrant all year round. The Zhiyuan Building is built by the river. Tourists can taste tea and enjoy the scenery here, having a great time.
