Taiziping in Emei Mountain, Sichuan

About 3.5 kilometers along the climbing path from Jieyin Hall, you can reach Taiziping. It is said that there used to be a statue of Changluo, the son of Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yijun, enshrined in the temple, hence the name. It is about half an hour’s journey from here to the Golden Summit. If you want to watch the sunrise but don’t want to live too expensively or get up too early, you can stay here.

Taiziping was originally named Wanxing Nunnery. It was founded by Master Guzhi in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt by Master Wenda during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Today, the small temple is not large, and the surrounding area is very quiet. It also provides accommodation and meals. Opposite the small temple, there are rural restaurants that can also serve as inns, but the accommodation conditions are relatively poor.

The opening hours are subject to the opening conditions on the day.
