The Sichuan Provincial Library is located near Tianfu Square, boasting an extensive collection and a vast area. Its design is modeled after the palace gates and towers of the Han Dynasty, making it a modern library with traditional characteristics.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-21:00; the library is closed all day on Mondays. The Youth Reading and Research Center operates from 13:00-21:00 on weekdays, and 09:00-21:00 on weekends, holidays, and during winter and summer vacations. The Visually Impaired Reading Room (by appointment), Sichuan Library Cultural and Creative Products, and Li Jieren·Li Yimao Library services are available from 09:00-17:00. The Si Jin·Yue Du New Space is open from 09:00-20:00. The library is closed on Mondays for routine maintenance, with additional notices for statutory holidays. Essential Tips:


1. Please maintain cleanliness and quietness indoors. Items such as periodicals from non-loan areas, bags, etc., should be stored at the cloakroom.

3. Do not annotate, alter, fold, soil, cut, or tear pages of the documents. Do not carry out books without borrowing procedures from the reading area.

7. Please set your mobile phone to silent or vibrate mode, answer calls outside; do not occupy seats for long periods of rest or sleep; discard waste paper and other trash in the trash cans.


8. Store items not belonging to the reading area (including self-prepared periodicals), bags (larger than 18*13 cm), and food at the cloakroom.
