Quanzhou Donghu Park is situated in the northeastern part of Quanzhou city, facing Qingyuan Mountain to the north, overlooking the Holy Tomb on Lingshan to the east, adjacent to suburban villages to the south, and connected to the commercial streets to the west. It is known as the location of the ‘Carp Pearl’ in the ‘Carp City’, and it is also the site of the original ‘Star Lake Lotus Fragrance’, one of the top ten scenic spots in Quanzhou.
The park covers an area of 308 acres, including 115 acres of water. With the central lake as the core, the park has built humanistic main attractions such as the ‘Star Lake Lotus Fragrance’ (central axis), ‘Qifeng Pavilion’ (the highest point), and also includes ‘Seven Stars Arching the Moon’, ‘Er Gong Pavilion’, ‘Donghu Pavilion’, ‘Lan Gu Pavilion’, and ‘Bo’en Pavilion’, forming an elegant rest area as the quiet zone. Additionally, there are a children’s playground, a boat dock, and ‘Double Boats Facing the Sun’ forming the entertainment service area as the lively zone. The park is open all year round from 6:00 to 21:00.
