Quanzhen Temple Introduction

Quanzhen Temple is located on the halfway up Longju Ridge of Qinglongling. There used to be Longju Nunnery here, which was later converted into a Taoist tea factory. In 1996, Master Fu Yuantian carefully planned and restored and rebuilt Cihang Hall, Qizhen Hall, and Wuzu Hall, and renamed it “Quanzhen Temple”.
The halls of Quanzhen Temple face directly the pass of Zhangren Peak. Walking along the ridge from Tianhe Temple, with the winding path and changing scenery, layers of tea gardens and kiwifruit forests can be seen. The stream meanders down along the path, and the majestic halls stand tall among the lush forests. It is truly a place for self-cultivation.

To the left is the sharp and stretching Zhangren Peak, and to the right is the winding and elegant Feixian Ridge.

In the front hall of Quanzhen Temple, Cihang Zhenren of Taoism is enshrined. This deity widely bestows compassion, guides all sentient beings, rescues them from the bitter sea, and helps them reach the shore of the Tao.

In the back hall, seven founders of Quanzhen Taoism, including Qiu Chuji, Tan Chuduan, Ma Danyang, Liu Chuxuan, Wang Chuyi, Hao Datong, and Sun Buer, are enshrined. They are all the seven great disciples of Wang Chongyang, the founder of Quanzhen Taoism. In the sixth year of Zhiyuan of Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty (1269), they were all conferred the title of Zhenren and are collectively called “the Seven True Men of Quanzhen”.

Above Qizhen Hall is Wuzu Building. In the middle of Wuzu Building, Donghua Zifu Fuyuan Liji Dadao Dijun (i.e., Wang Xuanfu) is enshrined. On the right are Chongyang Quanzhen Kaihua Fuju Dijun (i.e., Wang Chongyang) and Haichan Mingwu Hongdao Chunyou Dijun (i.e., Liu Haichan). On the left are Chunyang Yanzheng Jinghua Fuyou Dijun (i.e., Lu Chunyang) and Zhengyang Kaiwu Chuandao Chuijiao Dijun (i.e., Zhongli Quan), collectively called “the Five Patriarchs”.
