Panda Science Exploration Hall – A Satellite Museum of Chengdu Research Base

The ‘Panda Science Exploration Hall’ is one of the newly established ‘satellite museums’ of the Giant Panda Museum at the base, located on the first floor of the newly built research center building, covering an area of 1000 square meters.
The museum features six themes: ‘Overview of the Giant Panda Research Base’, ‘The Mysterious Giant Panda’, ‘Panda’s Love and Mating’, ‘Genetic Exploration of Pandas’, ‘Cradle of Life’, and ‘Panda and Its Companions’. It presents in-depth scientific and professional perspectives on the research work and significant achievements of the four departments of the Giant Panda Base Research Center: the Breeding Research Department, Genetic Research Department, Nutritional Research Department, and Endocrine Research Department.


Opening hours are as follows: January 1st to February 28th from 08:00 to 16:30; November 1st to December 31st from 08:00 to 16:30; March 1st to October 31st from 07:30 to 17:00.
