Oriental Art Museum Introduction

The Oriental Art Museum is divided into several exhibition halls, including the Oil Painting Hall, Sculpture Hall, Video Hall, Performance Art Hall, and Installation Art Hall.
On the first floor of the museum, there is an extra-large camera. It is said that this camera once belonged to Empress Dowager Cixi and has a history of over 150 years.

The Oil Painting Hall houses more than a hundred oil paintings, including famous works by renowned artists and selected works of Wang Liang from different periods of his life.

The Sculpture Hall has a complete set of colored porcelain works of “A Night Banquet in the Mansion of Han Xizai”. The works were completed by the ceramic artist Geng Xue and won the first prize for graduation creation at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2007. The works adopt the colors of the original painting and appear extremely translucent against the gorgeous colors of the porcelain. The figures are vividly shaped, and the facial expressions are vivid, making people feel immersive.

The museum also houses more than 500 Japanese iron kettles collected from all over the world. The older ones of these iron kettles have a history of 400 years.

Opening hours: Open from 09:30 – 11:30 and 13:30 – 16:00, Monday – Saturday throughout the year; Closed all day on Sundays throughout the year.
