Nuorilang Waterfall, situated at an elevation of 2365 meters near the Nuorilang Visitor Center, is one of China’s large travertine waterfalls. With a width of 270 meters and a height of 24.5 meters, it has been a popular location for numerous film and television productions. In Tibetan, Nuorilang means ‘grand and spectacular waterfall’.
The waterfall cascades in multiple levels, with a 140-meter-wide curtain of water flowing out from between two mountains, plunging down a hundred-foot cliff, creating a rare forest waterfall. Opposite the waterfall, a viewing platform has been constructed. Standing on the platform, one can take in the full panorama of the waterfall. In autumn, the three-hundred-meter-long torrent of the waterfall, against the backdrop of autumn colors and mist, transforms into a magnificent scene. The waterfall is open year-round from 07:30 to 17:30.
