Northeastern China’s Unique Errenzhuan Performance

The distinctive Errenzhuan performance primarily originates from the grand Yangko dances of Northeast China and the Hebei province’s Lotus Fall. With a playful tone, Northeasterners describe Errenzhuan as “Yangko as the base, Lotus Fall as the embellishment.” Lotus Fall, also known as Luozi, is a form of narrative singing and dancing art in Northern China, characterized by a combination of speech, song, and dance.
