Meishan Tianfei Palace: A Historical Landmark in Quanzhou

Meishan Tianfei Palace is located in the eastern section of Shi Tou Street, Donghai Fashi, Fengze District, by the Minjiang River at Meishan Ferry Wharf. In September 1992, it was designated as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Quanzhou City.
Originally known as the Mazu Temple, it was first established during the Northern Song Dynasty at Meishan Ferry. Meishan Ferry was a port where merchants and ships stopped and worshipped Mazu during the Song and Yuan dynasties.
