Long Looking Back: The Natural Beauty and Legend of Huludao

Longhuitou is located near the 313 seaside in Xingcheng, overlooking the Longwan seaside. It is surrounded by mountains and the sea, and has beautiful scenery. It is one of the important tourist attractions in Huludao.

There are two legends about Longhuitou. One is that it is said that Emperor Qianlong passed by this place on his way back to Beijing when he came out for sightseeing. He saw this beautiful scenery more than once and turned back to observe.

This is the origin of Longhuitou. The Longhuitou Landscape Terrace is situated by the mountains and the sea, with undulating pine waves and a beautiful coastline beneath the steep cliffs. Looking up at the vast sea, one can also enjoy the urban landscape of Huludao New City. Secondly, according to legend, there used to be sea monsters lurking in the Bohai Bay.

One day, a dragon came here to practice.

Seeing the people being bullied by the sea monsters, it used its magical power to eliminate the sea monsters. After the sea monsters were eliminated, its practice was also complete, and it was about to leave this area. The dragon, who was practicing, was reluctant to part ways and frequently turned back, forming the current Dragon Return Scenic Area. Of course, legends are legends after all.

This is actually a naturally formed observation point for the sea.

Looking up at the boundless sea, you will see a peninsula shaped island extending into the sea. This is the true location of Huludao. The Dragon Head Scenic Area offers a cloudy view of the sea, with smoke swirling around. On a sunny day, the blue sky, sea, and sky complement each other. Each has its own scenery and beauty.
