Lingyin Temple is situated at the northern foot of Da Hongluo Mountain in Huludao City. Originally named Wanshantang, it was initiated by the venerable lay Buddhist, Li Wenju, in 1916 and took over thirty years to complete. Construction began from the summit with the ‘Yuhuang Palace’ (Upper Hall), followed by the ‘Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall’ (Middle Hall), and finally reaching ‘Wanshantang’ (Lower Hall), establishing the early scale of Lingyin Temple. Since its establishment, the temple has been continuously visited by a stream of worshippers and tourists, with its incense burning and sacred fires ever-present. The temple’s opening hours and business status are subject to the daily operating conditions.
