Leidongping is the terminal of the scenic area shuttle bus. There are direct buses from Baoguosi Passenger Center at the foot of the mountain to here. It is also the only way to reach Jinding. No matter which route you choose to visit, you will pass by here when going to Jinding. Due to the relatively low price, most tourists who go to Jinding to watch the sunrise stay here the previous day.
Leidongping, at an altitude of 2,430 meters, is located on Lianwang Slope, between Baiyun Pavilion and Jieyin Hall. The journey from Huayanding to Leidongping passes through the largest alpine rhododendron reserve in China. The snow cover period here is even longer than that on Jinding, and it is often shrouded in mist.
It is 1.5 kilometers from here to the Jinding Cableway (Jieyin Hall), and it takes about 0.5 – 1 hour to walk. There are mainly two scenic spots nearby. One is the Monkey Area, and the other is the Ski Resort. The monkeys here are more civilized than those in the Monkey Area of Qingyin Pavilion, but don’t provoke them either. The Ski Resort is only open in winter.

Must-see tips:
1. There are many unlicensed taxis at Wuxianggang, claiming that they can take you to Leidongping. Don’t believe them at all! They can only reach the Zero-kilometer Parking Lot, and you still need to transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus (fee required) to get to Leidongping.
