The Three Sages Hall was built in the 36th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1697 AD). In the 20th year of Emperor Jiaqing’s reign (1815 AD), Abbot Benyuan rebuilt it with ten large gneiss columns. In the middle of the hall is enshrined the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, with Samantabhadra and Manjusri on the left and right. During the Tang Dynasty, to avoid the taboo of Li Shimin’s name, she was later called Guanyin, and her spiritual site is Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang. In the central niche on the back of the hall, there is a bronze statue of Skanda Bodhisattva, 2 meters high, cast in the ninth year of Emperor Daoguang’s reign (1829 AD). The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 throughout the year.
