Hongshan Park is located on Hongshan in the middle section of Siming South Road. It is surrounded by the city on three sides and backed by mountains on one side. Standing at the highest point in the park, visitors can overlook the area around Zhongshan and enjoy a distant view of Gulangyu Island.
The space at the foot of the mountain is a large leisure area converted from air-raid shelters, equipped with various entertainment facilities for visitors to choose from.
There used to be a Hongshan Temple on the mountain. The terrain in front of the temple is unique, with changeable wind directions. When it rains, the raindrops crisscross, creating the spectacular sight of “Hongshan’s Woven Rain”.
Next to Jiayu Stockade on the mountaintop, there is a Jiaer Garden. It is an ancient castle-style building, with ponds, pavilions, flower beds, lawns and natural rock scenery inside. There is also a fine handicraft – a stone carving of a “Sleeping Child”.
Opening hours: Open 24 hours a day throughout the year
