The Guanyin Pavilion Reservoir Scenic Area is located in Xiaoshi Town, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, in the eastern part of the Liaodong Peninsula. It is a Yan Dong tourist destination that relies on the reservoir and combines natural and cultural landscapes. The Guanyin Pavilion Reservoir Dam is grand and spectacular, with a vast water surface surrounded by mountains, and the green water, clear mountains, and blue sky form a natural landscape where mountains and sky meet, creating a beautiful scene of Gao Xia Ping Lake.
Connected with the birthplace of Taoism in Northeast China – Jiuding Tiesha Mountain, the reservoir area has high and steep peaks, lush forests, abundant flowers, numerous fish species, and a gathering of hundreds of birds, making it an ideal place for water entertainment, sightseeing, summer retreat, vacation, fishing, mountain climbing, and swimming. Below the reservoir dam, there are water parks, children’s parks, music squares, open-air dance floors, grape trellises, and rainbow trout ponds, among other tourism projects, as well as barbecue, picnic, and small restaurant facilities that complement the entertainment facilities, making it a great place for travel and vacation.
