Fulong Temple is situated atop the Liedui, with cliffs on three sides and connected to the dam by 42 stone steps on one side.
Inside the temple, the central position of the front hall houses a stone statue of Li Bing, which was unearthed during the relocation of Anlan Suspension Bridge in 1974.
The statue was sculpted in the first year of Jianning during the Eastern Han Dynasty (168 AD), making it one of the earliest existing round sculptures in China, used as a hydrological marker at the time.
Originally built in the Jin Dynasty as Fanxian Hall, it commemorated Fan Changsheng, the leader of the Tianshi Dao in Qingcheng Mountain during the Han Dynasty, who was also known as Xishan Hou, the Great Teacher of Heaven and Earth.
During the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Fulong Temple.
The temple is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00. For specific opening hours, please consult the scenic area.
