Dujiangyan Hongkou Drifting is located in the Hongkou-Longxi Nature Reserve and the AAAA-level scenic area of Hongkou, on the northwestern outskirts of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The scenic area boasts a superior natural environment with a cool and pleasant climate, an altitude of approximately 1000 meters, lush vegetation, and well-preserved original ecology. The air is rich in negative ions, earning it the reputation of a ‘natural oxygen bar’.
The drifting river channel is the Baisha River, a tributary of the Min River, with water quality meeting the first-class water standards of the national ground water criteria. The natural drifting river channel is known for its danger, uniqueness, and beauty. The drifting water is composed of snow melt from Guangguang Mountain, stream water, and underground spring water, rich in minerals, clear, and cool. With temperatures around 25 degrees, it is a summer retreat destination for tourists both within and outside the province.
The scenic area is more than 70 kilometers away from Chengdu, about a 1.5-hour drive, 18 kilometers from Dujiangyan City, and 35 kilometers from Qingcheng Mountain. Hongkou Drifting Scenic Area integrates drifting, outdoor expansion sports, catering, accommodation, business meetings, and entertainment into a mountain outdoor sports leisure and vacation tourism area.
The scenic area is equipped with fully licensed safety rescue personnel and boat operators, providing safe, professional, comfortable, and thoughtful tourism services for the drifting project, ensuring the safety of tourists participating in the drifting experience. In 2018, it was awarded the ‘National Sports Industry Demonstration Project’ by the State General Administration of Sports, and in 2019 and 2020, it was honored by the Sports Culture Development Center of the State General Administration of Sports as ‘2019 China Sports Tourism Boutique Event’, ‘2020 China Sports Tourism Boutique Event’, and ‘2019 China Sports Tourism Boutique Scenic Area’.
Hongkou Drifting can accommodate up to 20,000 people per day for drifting. It can serve more than 500 people for dining at once, provide hotel accommodation for 100 people, hold meetings for 120 people, offer 2000 parking spaces, have a bonfire barbecue music square for 200 people, and a tea pavilion for more than 500 people to enjoy tea and leisure chess.
The fully open scenic area has no entrance tickets, and tourists participating in the drifting project can consume on their own. The natural river channel provides a continuous water source guarantee without the need for artificial water blocking, allowing for drifting whenever visitors arrive.
Operating hours: From April 28th to October 6th each year, from 9 am to 5 pm (summer hours can be extended appropriately). Successful ticket exchange visitors are provided with free services including: item storage (except small iron cabinets), direct transportation to the pier, safety rescue personnel, hot showers, and drifting equipment. The natural river channel drifting water source is guaranteed, and there is no need for artificial water blocking, allowing for drifting whenever visitors arrive during normal business hours.

You can freely drift for 3 meters (inclusive).
On-site purchase for military personnel: Retired and active-duty military personnel from the army, navy, and air force, police officers, firefighters, and military academy students can purchase tickets with relevant certificates.
