Dongjing City Introduction

Dongjing City is located in Xincheng Village, Dongjingling Township, Taizihe District, Liaoyang City. It is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
Dongjing City was first built in the sixth year of Tianming in the Later Jin Dynasty (1621). It was constructed when Nurhachi, the Taizu of the Qing Dynasty, moved the capital from Hetuala City to Liaoyang.

The plane of the city is slightly diamond-shaped, covering an area of 0.75 square kilometers. There are two city gates on each side of the city wall, with a total of eight gates. On the two high points in the city, an “Octagonal Dragon Hall” and a “Bedchamber” were built respectively. Mituo Zen Temple was built on the east side of the city.

Now, only the “Tianyoumen” and the intermittent rammed earth wall core of the Dongjing City site remain. Cultural relics such as stone door lintels in Chinese and Manchu characters and glazed architectural ornaments have been found in the city.

The specific business status of the opening hours is subject to the opening situation on the day.
