Dafa Temple was founded in 1415 (the 13th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty) and rebuilt in 1638 (the 3rd year of Chongde in the Qing Dynasty).
The temple faces south. It has three courtyards and covers an area of more than 30 mu. In the front is the mountain gate, with a plaque reading “Dafa Chanlin” hanging on the lintel. Inside the mountain gate, there are statues of the Two Guardians. They are majestic in appearance and huge in stature. One has to crane one’s neck to see their faces.
Bell towers and drum towers are built on the east and west sides respectively. In the middle is the Tianwang Hall, with huge statues of the Four Heavenly Kings. Behind it is the main hall, where Sakyamuni and various Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are enshrined. The side halls enshrine the Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Buddha and the Four Heavenly Kings of the Mo Family. There are also the Memorial Temple of the Eight Princes and the Well of the Eight Princes.
The entire architecture of the temple features red doors, yellow walls and green tiles. The three main halls stand tall and magnificent, with painted beams and carved rafters, presenting extreme grandeur.
The opening hours are subject to the announcements on site at the scenic area.
