China Teddy Bear Museum: A Global Treasure

The China Teddy Bear Museum is recognized as one of the largest teddy bear museums globally, situated by the beautiful Jinma Lake. The museum houses an exquisite collection of teddy bears from around the world, with their adorable figures appearing in various scenes and playing different roles. The museum is divided into three levels, featuring multiple exhibition halls and three themed spaces. Not to be missed are the China Hall, History Hall, and World Hall, all located on the second floor.

Among the three themed spaces, the Illusion Space and Interactive Space are on the first floor, while the Painting Space is on the basement level. It is recommended to tour the museum in the order of the second floor, first floor, and then the basement. Afterwards, enjoy a fun 3D movie in the 3D cinema on the basement level.

In the China Hall, starting from the earliest Chinese myths and classics such as ‘Shan Hai Jing,’ ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms,’ and ‘Journey to the West,’ all these famous works are artistically recreated, with all characters portrayed as teddy bears dressed in different attires. In the World Hall, you can experience the Seven Wonders of the World, with teddy bears’ adorable figures present in every magnificent scene. The History Hall recounts the century-long development of teddy bears since their inception in 1902.

The Illusion Space on the first floor transforms two-dimensional images into incredibly realistic three-dimensional effects; the Interactive Space, themed around tea and alcohol culture, recreates scenes from famous paintings worldwide with teddy bears dressed in various costumes. In the Painting Space, teddy bears are dressed as iconic figures such as the Apple Youth, Captain Jack, and The Beatles, each with a unique style.
