Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum

The Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum serves as a platform for showcasing, disseminating, and popularizing traditional culture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture. It is also an important base for the study of TCM artifacts. Established in 2002, the museum is a merger of the Chinese Medicinal Specimen Museum, founded in 1956, and the Medical History Museum, established in 1989.

It features two main thematic exhibition areas on the first floor for Medical History and the second floor for Chinese Medicinal Museum. The TCM exhibition primarily displays the development and characteristics of Sichuan TCM, highlighting the profound cultural connotations of the ‘Hometown of TCM’. The museum is open throughout the year from Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Please note that the actual business status depends on the day’s opening conditions.

A must-see tip for visitors from outside the school is to submit a reservation application at least three days in advance.
