The new museum of Chengdu Gongpin Coin Museum is located in Anren Ancient Town, the Museum Town of China with profound historical and cultural heritage.
The museum has a construction area of more than 2,000 square meters and over 10,000 collections. Meanwhile, in terms of celebrity bills and notes during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Chengdu Gongpin Coin Museum has one of the richest and most comprehensive collections in the country. In addition, various economic – related collections are also on display, such as currencies from different periods in Sichuan, coins from all over the world, bank cards, and various bonds and notes during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
These collections, from different ages, made of various materials and for different purposes, have been passed down and evolved over thousands of years of history and are preserved to this day, all demonstrating the crystallization of human wisdom and the long – standing coin culture.
Coins, whose functions are more than just artistic, can be integrated with historical context and a global perspective to present cultural characteristics and possess historical and artistic charm.
Walking through the museum and having close contact with different shell coins, gold coins, copper coins, silver coins, banknotes and various old items, they are like a time – wormhole connecting the time and space that belong to them.
