Wutong Lighthouse Park is located in the coastal area of the Wutong section of Huandao East Road. The park construction takes the lighthouse as the theme, integrating the cultural background of the ancient Wutong Wharf and combining the existing mountain geographical features to build forests and gardens according to local conditions. The park is built with the sand, stones and soil dug out from the Xiang’an Tunnel.
It is formed by integrating the ventilation tower on the Wutong side of the Xiang’an Tunnel, the waste slag site section and the green belt of Huandao East Road. The project construction takes the lighthouse as the theme, integrating the cultural background of the ancient Wutong Wharf, etc. The Wutong Lighthouse in the park is more than 70 meters high, so it has also become a landmark building in the east of Xiamen. In the park, a cylindrical lighthouse with a red top stands tall. You can see the majestic figure of the lighthouse from afar. There are four prominent red characters “Wutong Lighthouse” on the tower body. This magnificent lighthouse is actually the ventilation hole of the Xiang’an Tunnel. Through the ingenious design of the designer, it has been built into a lighthouse, echoing the characteristics of Xiamen as a port scenic city. The park also displays characteristic lighthouses from all over the world in artistic forms such as sculptures, forming a unique lighthouse culture.
