Yanxia Lake Scenic Area is located on the northeastern edge of Dayi County. It is 11 kilometers away from Dayi County town and 56 kilometers away from Chengdu city. The lake, resembling a tree branch, is classified as a dendritic lake. It meanders through 20-plus peaks with its winding waters, creating a serene and profound landscape that encompasses mountains, water, and temples.
Being on the outskirts of the city, Yanxia Lake is pollution-free, boasts excellent vegetation coverage, and carries a rich historical significance, making it an ideal destination for suburban tourism. Within the scenic area, the Guanyin Temple, built during the Ming Chenghua period, has been restored and approved as an open place for religious activities. The scenic area integrates mountains, water, temples, lakes, rivers, and both cultural and natural landscapes.
