Zhi Art Museum Introduction

Zhi Art Museum is located at the foot of Laojun Mountain in Xinjin, Chengdu, China. The total construction area is 2,353 square meters. With a reserved and highly Zen-like appearance, it was designed by the international architecture master Kengo Kuma. Elements such as flowing water and tiles are used to make the building blend organically with nature, presenting an ethereal and quiet atmosphere, where movement and stillness coexist harmoniously, fully demonstrating the oriental philosophy of endless growth and following the laws of nature.
The VI system of the art museum was designed by the Japanese graphic design master Kenya Hara. It is composed of the elements of the tiles on the exterior of the art museum, forming a richly changing water ripple pattern.

Zhi Art Museum aims to explore the past, present, and future of oriental aesthetics in the international context of contemporary art. At the same time, “zhi” is completely an open system, moving from the known to the unknown, from the present to the infinite. Therefore, Zhi Art Museum will also explore the integration of human inspiration and high technology, and explore the cutting-edge possibilities in the field of new media art. It will establish a collection and curatorial system that is constructive for the integrity and openness of art history.
