In Shuzheng Village, you can see a stupa that echoes in the distance with the nearby Shuzheng Waterfall, where beads of water fly and jade scatters, and the湛蓝清澈的 Shuzheng Lakes, conveying a special cultural ideology.
This stupa is the mausoleum of Tibetan Buddhist high monks and living Buddhas. Its architectural form is similar to the Indian “stupa” style. It consists of three parts: the base, the bottle body, and the spire.
The base is divided into two layers. The lower layer is slightly larger, representing “the mundane world”, which means the earth. The upper layer is slightly smaller and is called the “path to enlightenment”, which refers to the starting point and also the ending point of the cycle of reincarnation.
The bottle body of the stupa is also composed of two parts. The lower part is the bottle body, called the “water ball”. The upper part of the bottleneck is the “fire cone”, also known as the “fire of diligence”.
The spire also has two parts. The lower part, which is the support under the top of the stupa, is also called “qi” or “wind”. The upper part of the top of the stupa is called “spirit” or “vital energy”, implying the fluctuating spirit or the vital energy waiting to break away from the material world.
