He Ye Zhai is the first Tibetan village upon entering the scenic area and is one of the bustling villages in Jiuzhaigou. As its name implies, when overlooking the entire village from a high altitude, it resembles a huge, unfurled lotus leaf. The village is renowned for its idyllic rural scenery and Tibetan residential architecture. The scenery in autumn is particularly charming. The Tibetans in the village have changed their past nomadic and agricultural lifestyles and settled here.
Here, you can observe the characteristics of Tibetan villages. Behind He Ye Zhai, there is a century-old giant pine tree, adorned with hadas. Standing proudly and majestically, it is known as the Welcome Pine. The branches of the giant pine sway in the wind, as if countless waving arms, warmly welcoming every tourist.
