The Introduction of a Park in Chengdu

The park was first built in 1911. Now it has become a leisure destination for local people to drink tea, chat and play cards. Here, you can experience the happy “slow life” of Chengdu people. In the teahouses within the park, you can order a cup of tea, read books, soak up the sun and just daydream.
The park was originally named Shaocheng Park. It used to be the “Manchu and Mongol Enclosure” in the Qing Dynasty, where Manchu and Mongol people lived. In 1911 (the third year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty), General Yu Kun, who was stationed in Chengdu, abolished the supply system for the banner people and built the park.

Today, within the park, there are scenic spots such as the Plum Garden, the Crabapple Garden and a large rockery. It is a place for local people’s leisure and entertainment. Come here to drink tea, play cards and have a chat. The slow life in this leisure capital is just so casual and relaxing.

Opening hours: It is open from 06:30 to 22:00 throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
