Qingyin Pavilion is an important temple in Emei Mountain. It was built by Master Huitong during the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty. Inside the temple, there are statues of Sakyamuni, Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, etc.
The famous scenic spot in the mountain, “Clear Sounds over Twin Bridges”, is located here. Two stone bridges span across, and beneath the bridges is the clear river water. This is also a great place for taking pictures in the mountain. “Clear Sounds over Twin Bridges” is right next to Qingyin Pavilion.
Below Qingyin Pavilion is Shuangfei Pavilion. There is a small bridge on each side of the pavilion, and the sound of the gurgling water beneath the bridges is continuous. There is a stone tablet under the pavilion, inscribed with: “Eternal Clear Sounds”.
Restricted by the terrain, Qingyin Pavilion is not large in area. However, it is surrounded by mountains and waters, with small streams flowing gently, presenting extremely beautiful scenery. There are rural guesthouses nearby that can provide accommodation and meals.
Opening hours: It is open from 07:00 to 17:30 from November 1st to March 31st; and from 06:00 to 18:00 from April 1st to October 31st.
