Located in the Qionglai Longmen Mountain Range and along the Bai Mo River, the Longmen Mountain Biodiversity Expo Garden spans an area of 1172 acres and is one of the four sub-venues of the Chengdu World Horticultural Expo. With the core theme of ‘Park City ยท Beautiful Habitat,’ the Expo Garden features biodiversity as its characteristic theme and showcases its main content through ‘one pavilion, one village, and six environments,’ creating a multifunctional Expo Garden that integrates leisure, study, sightseeing, and vacation functions.
The ‘one pavilion’ refers to the Longmen Vast World Pavilion, composed of five themed exhibition halls, including the Longmen Mountain Geology and Environment Exploration Hall, Longmen Mountain Rare Plants and Insects Exploration Hall, Longmen Mountain Rare Birds and Aquatic Animals Exploration Hall, Longmen Mountain Species Diversity Protection Practice Hall, and the Natural Knowledge and Cultural Creative Multifunctional Experience Hall. These halls offer visitors an immersive ecological science tourism experience through 3D digital technology, audio-visual interaction, and virtual interaction.
