In Shenxianchi Scenic Area, you can see landscapes such as alpine lakes, large areas of calcified landscapes and vast primeval forests. Shenxianchi is called “Nen’en Sangcuo” in Tibetan, which means the place where fairies bathe.
There are scenic spots in the scenic area, such as Liantai Colored Pools, Shuanglong Pool, Qinglong Sea, Shenwa Sea, Jinyin Beach, each with its own charm. You can ride horses and go rafting in the scenic area.
Compared with Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Areas, the altitude of Shenxianchi Scenic Area is only more than 2,000 meters, and the relative drop is only more than 300 meters. It is more accessible for tourists, especially suitable for some tourists with strong altitude reactions.
Opening hours: It is open from 09:00 – 16:30 from November 17th to May 31st; and from 08:00 – 18:00 from June 1st to November 16th.
Preferential policies:
Students: Students aged 6 (excluding) – 18 (excluding) with valid certificates, or full-time undergraduate students and below with student certificates can enjoy a half-price discount on tickets.
Children: Children aged 6 (including) or below, or with a height of 1.2 meters (including) or below are free of tickets; children with a height of 1.2 meters (excluding) – 1.5 meters (including) can enjoy half-price tickets.
Military personnel, disabled people, and military disabled people: Revolutionary disabled military personnel, active-duty military personnel, and disabled people are free of tickets with valid certificates.
Elderly people: Elderly people aged 60 (including) – 69 (including) can enjoy half-price tickets with valid ID cards; elderly people aged 70 (including) or above are free of tickets with valid ID cards.
Teaching staff: Teachers who hold the “Teacher Qualification Certificate” and enter the scenic area on Teachers’ Day can enjoy half-price tickets.
Disabled people: Disabled people can enjoy preferential tickets with valid certificates, at half price.
Must-see tips: The altitude here is only 2,000 meters, making it more accessible for tourists.
