Nestled among the encircling peaks, Hongchunping is surrounded by lush greenery, with a misty scene reminiscent of fog and rain during the early morning hours.
Here lies the ancient temple, the Qiantuo Chan Monastery, which not only offers a place for worship but also provides excellent lodging and dining services for visitors, with many opting to spend a night in the temple’s guest hall.
The temple’s breakfast is commendable, featuring porridge, steamed buns, and more. It is said that the public bathhouse offers hot showers, a divine indulgence for those who have spent a day climbing the mountains.
In front of the temple, there were originally three thousand-year-old Hongchun trees, from which Hongchunping derives its name. Today, two ancient Hongchun trees remain, along with several younger ones.
The temple is open year-round from 06:00 to 17:00. For specific opening times, please consult the scenic area’s essential tips.
1. Due to the dense forest and high humidity in the area, there is often a fine misty rain, which can make the bedding in the guest hall somewhat damp.
