Legendary Journey: Marco Polo and the World on the Silk Road is a large-scale historical relics exhibition jointly hosted by Sichuan Museum, Capital Museum, Shanghai Museum, Yangzhou Marco Polo Memorial Hall, Yangzhou Museum, etc.
In 2024, it marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy, and also the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death. The exhibition aims to commemorate Marco Polo, a famous explorer and merchant in history, in the forms of unique cultural perspectives, rich relics displays, interactive experiences, etc. It reproduces the oriental journey of this legendary traveler and deeply explores the profound influence of the Silk Road on the cultural exchanges and integrations between the East and the West.


Among them, there are 84 selected exhibits from Italy and more than 100 historical treasures collected by many domestic museums in China.


Opening hours: It is open from 09:00 to 17:00, Tuesday to Sunday, from December 21 to April 15; it is closed all day on Monday from December 21 to April 15.
