Huaxi Brook Park is the core area of the Huaxi Brook Historical and Cultural Scenic Area. It is located in the southwest of Chengdu, close to Du Fu Thatched Cottage. It is by far the largest urban forest park in Chengdu.
Huaxi Brook Park is set against the historical and cultural connotations of Du Fu Thatched Cottage. The park features a harmonious blend of mountains and waters, with lush flowers, plants and trees providing ample shade. It consists of three major scenic spots: Wanshu Mountain, Canglang Lake and Egret Island. Two rivers, Huaxi Brook and Gan River, flow through the park. It is the largest urban forest park in Chengdu.
