Museum Introduction: Cultural, Popular Science Education and Exhibition Details

The museum mainly takes cultural education as the main line, popular science education as the theme, and geological exhibition as the feature. It conducts popular science and education on topics such as the origin of life, geological processes, mineral resources, and the vast universe.

Opening Hours:


– From 01/01 to 02/02, open from 09:00 – 17:00, Tuesday – Sunday.


– From 02/04 to 02/09, open from 09:00 – 17:00, Tuesday – Sunday.


– From 02/11 to 12/31, open from 09:00 – 17:00, Tuesday – Sunday.


– On 02/03, open from 09:00 – 17:00.


– On 02/10, open from 09:00 – 17:00.


Preferential Policies:


**Children**:


– Free admission for children 6 years old (inclusive) and below. No reservation is required. They must bring valid certificates and be accompanied by guardians to enter the museum for a visit. Guardians do not enjoy free tickets.


– Half price for minors aged 6 (exclusive) – 18 (inclusive) and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan inbound teenage tourists with valid certificates such as the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, the Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, or student certificates.


**Seniors**: Free admission for those 60 years old (inclusive) and above. They can enter the park for free by swiping the original ID card without reservation. Those who do not bring the original ID card can go to the site to handle the admission procedures with relevant vouchers of their own.


**Free Groups**:


(1) Disabled people can enter for free with valid certificates. (Retired personnel and first – and second – class disabled people are allowed one accompanying person to visit for free.)


(2) Active military personnel, active firefighters, public security police officers with police officer certificates, disabled military personnel, military veterans, martyrs’ dependents, dependents of military personnel who died on duty, and dependents of military personnel who died of illness can enjoy free admission with valid certificates.


(3) Local senior citizens with senior citizen preferential certificates can enter for free.


(4) Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents and foreigners with permanent residency) aged 6 years old and below are free. Children must be accompanied by guardians and enter the museum with tickets. Guardians do not enjoy free tickets.


(5) Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents and foreigners with permanent residency) aged 60 years old (inclusive) and above.


(6) Special – grade teachers can enter for free with the Honorary Certificate of Special – grade Teachers (Principals) issued by the Chengdu Education Bureau.


(7) Persons with honors for acts of courage in Chengdu, Chengdu model workers, heroes and models, holders of Chengdu Talent Cards, Chongqing Talent Cards, Chengdu Craftsmen, and Panda Gratitude Cards (anti – epidemic).


(8) Holders of the officially authenticated campus card of Chengdu University of Technology can enter the Natural Museum. They can exchange tickets at the ticket window and then enter the museum for free. The certificate is only for the holder to enter the museum for a visit. It is prohibited to bring others into the museum or enter in other ways.


**Students**: Half price for full – time undergraduate students and below.


Service Facilities:


**Scenic Area Explanation**: Chargeable explanation: Regular on – site group explanation services are provided during normal opening hours.


Fee Standard: 20 yuan per person per session. During the opening hours of the venue, starting from 10:00, a tour group departs every hour. The number of people in each group shall not exceed 30. All relevant procedures shall be handled at the service desk on the first floor hall.


Free Guided Tours: The Natural Museum provides free public welfare guided tour services at fixed times and locations. The service times are 10:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon on the opening days, a total of two sessions. The number of service recipients is 30 – 50 people per session. In addition, visitors can also choose the free audio guide service. All audio guide service points are located within the permanent exhibition halls.
