Nanmu Creek is located 4 kilometers away from Gaohe Town, situated in the southern part of Tiantai’s back mountain, approximately 8 kilometers from the scenic area. A stream gently flows from the Qionglai Mountains, winding and clear to the bottom. Surrounded by green mountains and shaded by trees, the area boasts a pleasant climate and fresh air. Despite the sweltering heat, the daily temperature remains around 26-27 degrees Celsius, with cooler mornings and evenings necessitating light vests or jackets, and at night, one might need a blanket to sleep.
Farmhouses line both banks of Nanmu Creek, accompanied by greenery and the company of flowing water. Almost every household has constructed rectangular platforms by the creek and wide bridges spanning the stream, providing rest and entertainment for visitors. We often sit on these bridges to cool off, listening to the murmuring water, feeling the mountain breeze along the creek, which brings a sense of comfort and refreshment, evoking a feeling of being far from the mundane world.
