Dialogue in the Dark: Empowering the Visually Impaired

Since its inception in Germany in 1988, ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ has spread to over 30 countries worldwide, providing more than 9,000 job opportunities for visually impaired individuals.
Located in Chengdu City, the ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ experience center is a collaborative project between the Jinjiang District Disabled Persons’ Federation of Chengdu City and the franchisee of ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ (China), Jinjiang District Dialogue in the Dark Service Center. The center spans an area of approximately 960 square meters, making it the first ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ experience center in China, the second-largest globally, and the first themed around a city. It currently employs 10 sighted staff members and 9 guides who are either partially sighted or blind.

The center is open to the public from Tuesday to Thursday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and from Friday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
