The Anren Ancient Town National Treasure Offline Experience Hall is located in Anren Ancient Town, Dayi County, and can be seen as a continuation of the Forbidden City Special Exhibition of ‘National Treasures’. The nine architectural ‘square boxes’, designed by renowned architect Wang Zhenfei, are arranged in a layout inspired by the Chinese multi-treasure cabinets. The designer, based on the characteristics of the site, continues the design concept of the Forbidden City Special Exhibition, using the multi-treasure cabinet form to cover the entire area, placing nine national treasures in nine ‘cabinets’.
The blank nature of the multi-treasure cabinets naturally provides traffic space and visual density gaps. The nine national treasures presented in the experience hall are: the Western Zhou Da Ke Ding, the Sleeping Tiger Tomb Bamboo Slips, the Du Hu Fu, the Xin Sui Tomb T Silk Painting, the Yongzheng Pink Color Bottle, the Grape Flower Bird Pattern Silver Incense Pouch, the Portrait Brick, the Sword of King Goujian of Yue, and the Zeng Hou Yi Bianzhong.
They come from different eras in the long river of history, and after thousands of years, their appearance has immeasurable value for the study of ancient Chinese culture and history. The National Treasure Offline Experience Hall uses 3D modeling technology and 3D automatic imaging systems to replicate the details of cultural relics. It opens the door to the story of cultural relics through digital technology such as images, AR, VR, holographic projection, naked-eye 3D, and sensor devices, allowing the audience to be in a space where ancient and modern times intersect.
They can feel the grandeur of history in the battlefield of gold and iron, and the poetry of painting in the delicate brushwork, transforming into flying birds and experiencing the dreamlike world of dragons and mythical beasts.Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-16:30 all year round; closed all day on Mondays, with specific business status subject to the actual opening situation on the day.
