The pagoda is a landmark building in Dujiangyan and a sacred place for the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage in Sichuan Province. There is a saying in Dujiangyan: Pay homage to the waters of Dujiangyan, seek the Tao in Qingcheng Mountain, and pray for wealth at Xishu Pagoda. It enshrines Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth, who is in charge of the world’s wealth and is the ancestral shrine of the God of Wealth culture in western Sichuan.
