Zhechawagou in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area

Zhechawagou stretches from Nuorilang to Changhai, nearly 18 kilometers long. It is a high-altitude tourist route within Jiuzhaigou. The scenic spots are concentrated at the end of the gully.
The main scenic spots include Seasonal Lakes, Five-Colored Pond, Changhai, etc. The Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area is distributed in a “Y” shape. Zhechawagou is located on the left branch (the right branch is Rizegou, and the lower branch is Shuzhengou).


The Seasonal Lakes are located above Zhechawagou. The lake water changes with the seasons. There are upper, middle and lower Seasonal Lakes. There is a primeval forest nearby. The Five-Colored Pond is a small lake with a deep blue lake surface.


Changhai is at an altitude of 3,150 meters and is a relatively large lake in Jiuzhaigou. It freezes from December to April of the following year.

Must-see tips: Zhechawagou has a long distance and not many scenic spots. It is not recommended to visit entirely on foot. You can choose to take a bus at Nuorilang Station, get off at Changhai, then walk to the Five-Colored Pond, and then go down to the Upper Seasonal Lake. Then take the bus back and enjoy the Middle Seasonal Lake and the Lower Seasonal Lake on the way.
